The IMD’s World Competitiveness Yearbook is an internationally renowned competitiveness publication which uses over 300 indicators across 61 countries to analyse and rank the ability of nations to create and maintain an environment in which enterprises can compete.

In 2015, Ireland was ranked 16^th – a fall of 1 place from 2014. This Bulletin, the second in a series from the National Competitiveness Council, examines the factors contributing to the decline in Ireland's performance, and also highlights Ireland's competitiveness strengths.
